What happened to my power supply?

written by cb22, on Jul 19, 2008 7:39:39 PM.

Looks like someone working for BidAir has the same taste in computers as me. So much so that they decided to keep my 720W power supply, and two Xeon processor fans. Or that was the first conclusion I reached. If they knew enough about computers to take my modular power supply, you’d think they’d go for the needed cables too.

So did the TSA do it? Doubt it. Assuming it was a legitimate search of my bag, they would’ve put in a notice as their site informs me. Even if they didn’t and they thought a power supply and two processor fans were a bomb (which is unlikely as in my carry on luggage I had three normal CPU fans and there was no problem when the guy opened my bag) you’d think they would keep the whole bag behind. Then again those guys love their security theater.

In the end I don’t know who did it. All I know is that they are either stupid (leaving the needed cables behind) or do not follow protocol (not putting in a notice). Thinking about it I don’t care much either, provided I get a new power supply and processor fans.

Ah, some nice blog software written in Python that doesn't have the dependency of a huge framework. Where have you been all my life?
